EcoWater Fiberglass Softeners and Filters
The EcoWater
Fiberglass Tank
In tank diameters through 24", EcoWater manufactures its own
fiberglass tanks. We can control both quality and manufacturing
cost, and thus produce better tanks at very competitive prices.
These tanks carry a generous 10-year warranty. Tank sizes 30"
diameter and larger are made to our strict specifications, and carry
a 5-year warranty.
Softeners
Series ES
Series ES softeners offer a wide range of capabilities: exchange
capacities from 60 to 600,000 grains; valve sizes of 1", 1.5",
2" and 3"; and tank diameters of 12" to 36".
Softeners use the experience-proven Fleck valve controlled by a
standard solid state time clock control, or an optional fully programmable
electronic control. Softeners are available in single, duplex, or
multiple tank modes.
Filters
Series EC
Activated carbon filters efficiently remove chlorine and other organics
that cause taste, odor, and color problems in water. Two media are
offered:
- A standard
high-capacity granular carbon for removal of chlorine, taste,
odor, and color. It has a rugged grain structure, high density,
and a large surface area.
- An optional
media that consists of selected grades of bituminous coal for
removal of chlorine and other organics. It is combined with suitable
binders and activated at high temperatures for superior binders
and activated at high temperatures for superior hardness and long
life. Large surface area and large pore volume efficient adsorption
of high and low molecular weight organics.
Series EG
Uses a manganese-coated greensand, for routine removal of iron from
water. It is especially suited to water that has high iron content
and low silica, where a high volume of water is to be treated. An
anthracite cap can combine with greensand for more difficult iron
removal problems, and improved capacity.
Continuous Regeneration. An optional proportioning chemical
feed pump continuously feeds chlorine, potassium permanganate, or
both, to oxidize iron, manganese, and hydrogen sulfide for more
efficient removal.
Series EM
Three layers of media specially selected for particle size and specific
gravity provide highly efficient removal of particulate matter from
water. Top layer traps coarse debris, the middle layer traps medium
size particles, and the bottom layer traps particles as small as
10 microns.
Advantages are highly efficient filtering and longer service runs
between filter backwashes, since there is far less clogging than
with conventional single-media filters.
